MEET THE PLANTS

 While visiting Savage Farms you might try haole koa (Leucaena leucocephala), an invasive species that we make into something similar to pickled capers. Eating just one of these prevents up to 100 seeds from ever dropping to the ground, which is extremely high impact eating. You might try miso made from its seeds, tempeh, or a salsa macha made from this plant listed in the Top 100 Most Invasive Species on the Planet. A healthier and more sustainable relationship with the Earth is possible.

INFRARED SAUNA

The sauna session is paired with a large vessel containing water infused with freshly picked flowers from our farm, and ice, which can be ladled over your body as you move in and out of the heat of the sauna. We burn a unique incense made with both wild and cultivated plants here on Maui, in the sauna area to lift the spirits should you desire.
