INTRODUCTION

This syrup is perfect for adding to cocktail recipes, on pancakes, over ice cream – in anything that needs a wild boost of color and that distinctive Java Plum taste.

INGREDIENTS

3 1/2 cups Java Plum Juice

3 1/2 cups sugar

You can use different amounts; the general ratio is 1:1

STEP 1

Place Java Plum juice and sugar into a pot. Mix thoroughly and heat on medium-high, bringing to a boil.

STEP 2

Turn the heat to low and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.

STEP 3

Pour into clean and sterile jars. Place the jars in a hot-bath if you wish to seal and preserve the syrup without refrigeration.

STEP 4

If not preserved with the hot-bath, keep your syrup in the refrigerator and use within a couple of months.
