DAY 24 @wildbiomeproject

feral mango wildbiome hawaii

Wanted to try making something like chia pudding using wild basil seeds and coconut milk. Took 2 full movies on Netflix to process 1 tbsp, so I think this was a once-in-a-lifetime dish! Scored some feral mangos (so small compared to store bought) to go on top.

100% wild salad hawaii wildbiome

Salad of Chinese violet greens, wild lettuce, sow thistle greens, bitter melon greens, Spanish needles greens, wood sorrel greens, wild amaranth greens, feral arugula, smoked marlin, pōpolo berries, feral cherry tomatoes, pickleweed, lacto-fermented opiuma arils, bits of partially dried Java plums, yellow butterfly ginger flowers, feral nasturtium flowers, Chinese violet flowers, bits of lacto-fermented beach almond nut cheese covered in dried sea lettuce, grated salt-cured feral egg yolk.

Dinner was Axis deer bone broth, wild lettuce, cats ear greens, dandelion greens, mallow, sow thistle buds, cats ear buds, kupukupu fern nut (Nephrolepis cordifolia), salt, wild tamarind vinegar, pōpolo berries and feral cherry tomatoes.

Got a call and scored another coconut heart of palm 🙃 and my mind was blown when my blood glucose spiked after a hill raspberry smoothie – I thought berries were low glycemic…but they are so sweet and delicious, I guess an anomaly for Rubus spp.
