DAY 20 WILDBIOME PROJECT HAWAII
Well, day 20 it is of the Wildbiome Project!

River prawns with roasted kukui nut (Aleurites moluccanus), feral avocado, tropical chickweed (Drymaria cordata), oriental or false hawksbeard, honohono grass (Commelina diffusa), wild lettuce, spanish needles, salt.
I feel like my taste buds are flushing out, resetting, that they’ve died and are being resurrected. I’ve lost most taste for sweet, or rather it’s just become so highly sensitized even my kiawe tea needs to be watered down. I had to work a bit extra for my food today…opening coconuts, making the milk, and then it tasted moldy
so ended up opening 5 as others were bad – mold is my nemesis. Not easy to sit with family feasting on soooo much delicious food for an Easter feast, but better than sitting home alone. This is the grueling part, as food is very communal, but also gratitude as my body felt like it made some big shifts/changes yesterday & today and reminds me of panchakarma and other programs requiring a 21-day commitment to reset…am really feeling it!

I also ate `opiuma arils roasted in coconut oil with salt and wood sorrel flowers, feral coffee with kiawe tea and coconut milk, and the red arils of a bitter melon gourd.
